My baby daddy!

On October 2, 2003... at approximately 10:18pm... Brennen was delivered and a dad was born...

Yup! today is a tournament day for B!!! He has been obsessed recently with the Houston open... and now the Master's... a day in my life includes waking up to cartoons....no.... i mean the ambiance of the golf channel... and the site of golf balls and irons all over!

actually last night was the first night he admitted to being nervous and asked me to pray for him...he is entirely tooo cute!!! wish us luck.... btw... that is a video captured on my camera... sorry sooo amateur :)

i absolutely love the weather right now.... it has inspired me to take more pictures.... buy new perfume.... paint my toes fire engine red.... two-tone paint the kitchen.... decorate my patio... buy big flower corsages.... sleep with the windows open.... resurface old furniture and make it new again...

detail my car like no one's business... bake a jello cake.....test out new recipes.... blow bubbles... have picnics.... check out independent films from the public library.... go to the zoo... & eat kettle corn........ :) i hope spring inspires great things in your life!

yay! it's golf time....

today was the first day that i saw this kid's face look like it does on christmas morning... without christmas.... he was soooo stoked to go to the waste management open.... he was a true trooper and scored us comp tickets and kept up on each hole.....speed walking!!!.... it was one of those special moments to see somebody you love get to experience what they love most....

well for right now... this kid loves golf... it may be a love that may blow out like a flame or slowly flicker out... but in the mean time... i love cheering him on and picking out cute clothes for his tournaments... stay tuned.... i will keep eveyone posted on his progress this year... btw... i was sooo happy with how this picture turned out... i got the natural lighting just at the right time... and that's hard...

and President's Day was spent....

at the phoenix zoo... where on even a bad day... the animals look oh-so-cute!

These were some of our favorite animals (including Brennen).... when we got home we made an effort to list our "best" part of the day :)

After a relaxing day of watching animals in their man-made habitat and smelling the aromas of kettle corn.. we sat by the duck pond (I secretly wanted that moment to last forever) ... and sat.... it was great!

A sunday afternoon...

today is such a nice day... our doors and windows are open and we're enjoying the nice ambiance of sunday... although i think we create it ourselves ......or do we? anyway... aaron and brennen are sitting outside soaking up the rewards of making some hummingbird nectar ...

....about three weeks ago they began feeding one hummingbird....well.... he apparently spread the word about our sweet nectar recipe (no secret... boil 1 cup of water and 1/3 c. of sugar.... cool and fill your feeder) ... now we have five religious eaters!!!... they are so nice to watch... but at times get bossy if the feeder is low... (all flying in unison around the feeder and around the windows....making their hackle call ....until they get a new batch)... it's our faults... we spoil them!

while the boys headed to the park i decided to make brownies... not from scratch... fresh from the kitchen of Betty Crocker... heehee... with the "extra egg" for the "cake-like" ones... well their done... we are going to enjoy them with iced-milk... :)

have a great sunday!!! i keep thinking about this and wanting to take a nap... (btw.... white bedding and boys is not too bad of a combo, they seem to appreciate it :)

it's already twenty - ten??

Seriously... i literally fell off the face of the blog world... and honestly missed it... however it's sooo easy to fall back behind the scenes and become a kooky-eyed, adrenaline driven, blog stalker... so thanks to all those blogs that kept me in the loop.....while i was in a blog coma :)

So here is a recap of the past 8 months... what the? (recounting on my hands... eyes widen..recount again...) yeah 8 months!!!!!!!!!... {feeling like a loser} .....go ahead and boo now... geez i would have to say slap me and curse me with bad handwriting!! well anyway... here's the cliff notes version:

• was the proudest mommy at Brennen's kindergarten graduation!!! seeing him walk across the stage... oops! and eat carpet was the icing on the cake... we came home with a full memory card and excitement to watch the video over and over and over and over... he was sooo happy to show everyone the part where he walked across the stage and completely biff it... after recovering gracefully, the rest of the day was priceless... at times i wish he was still a baby and confined to a square footage in the house... and another part of me loves to see him experience life!!

• he's now almost done with first grade!!!! we continue to swoon over all the new things he brings home... including the great grade reports.... we still have evenings where we struggle with him to get all of his homework done.... he can be very stubborn... (gets that from his dad...heehee :) getting him ready for each year is soooo exciting...... making lists to ensure we had all those beginning of the year supplies and clothes.... we secretly like it and wish that we had more kids .. but we don't and feel like total losers when we go to zoo and see couples gracefully taking care of the multiple tots! i'm sure beginning to miss the sippy cups and cute... oh...so cute... baby clothes!!! okay... i have to stop ...





• aaron and i celebrated our seven year wedding anniversary... we decided to opt. for a romantic dinner as a family at the melting pot... and believe me it was phenomenal!!! brennen was so intrigued by the fondue and the plethora of tasty flavors... he was in heaven... errr.... we were in heaven.... aaron and i reminiced about the wedding and all the toasts and quite hilarious memories that was part of our big day... :) thanks again to all those who shared the date with us!!! oh! almost forgot.... aaron and i always try and stick with the traditional gift guide and was a little stunted with the seven year.... copper / wool.... the gift does not have to be extravagent by any means.... and let me tell you... i went cheap... i first thought about those cheezy copper bracelets at a native trading post... heehee... and then maybe a wool blanket... blah!! this was harder than i thought!!! so of course i purchased my gift at the very last minute!!! i had an awesome idea.... i thought well... the gift has to be copper??? how about a cop-er!!! YES!!!! that was it.... i purchased from a mutiple array of shops ;) a cop outfit for aaron... he was stunned by my creativity... as i was with his.... he got me a huge stuffed pink sheep!!! for wool!!! overall the night was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! here's to seven years of marriage!!!!!!!!!... :0)..... now going on eight!





• Brennen started playing for the jgaa... junior golf association of arizona.. and has been doing amazing.... he has participated in five tournaments and did an awesome job!!! we took home 4 second place and 1 first place medal (s)!!!! the experience has been more than what i had expected... but sooo worth the ride.... now... he is moving onto other activities and has allowed some dust to settle on his clubs... but we should be up and at it come late feb.... i will keep you posted..
  
  
• im going to stop for now... but i will make it a task and requirement to keep you all posted... i will post things i find inspiring... challenging... and well... things that make me feel oh-so-good!!! so blow the dust off my blog and come back soon!!!
